Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu visit the Czech Republic

On the 29th of November, Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu of Romania met The primate Bishop of the Orthodox Church in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, at the Orthodox Archiepiscopate and also the primate Bishop of the Czech Republic, at the Catholic Archiepiscopate. The discussions were focused on the presence on the continent of different Christian confessions and the important steps that have been made in the last few years on the way to create a connection between the Catholic and Orthodox Church.
Their Royal Highnesses participated at an economic gathering, organized by HE Mrs. Daniela Gitman, the Ambassador of Romania in the Czech Republic, dedicated to the bilateral relations (Romania - Czech Republic) in the field of agriculture and commerce.
In the evening, during a round table organized by Prague Society for International Co-operation and Global Panel Organization, Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu of Romania met the Prime minister of the Czech Republic.
On the 30th of November, Their Royal Highnesses visited Brno and lay down a garland of flowers on the monument of the Romanian solders. Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu met the vice-governor of South Moravia, representatives of the regional administration and representatives of the Romanian community. At the invitation of the mayor of Brno, the Royal Family of Romania also visited the Brno Town hall.
In the afternoon, at the Brno Defense University, HRH Prince Radu spoke about “Identity and national security. A Romanian perspective”.
On the 1st of December, Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu met the First Lady of the Czech Republic at the Presidential Residence. The meeting was fallowed by a visit of the State Apartments of the Palace. During the evening, Their Royal Highnesses attended the Official Reception organized by the Romanian Embassy in the Czech Republic on the occasion of the National Day. The Reception was fallowed by a pantomime performance organized by the Cultural Institute in Prague.
